As I have mentioned earlier, each painting has its own story. Artists look for inspiration and ideas for a painting almost all the time either consciously or sub-consciously. How I thought of color combination for painting entitled “Fantasy Of a Butterfly” is an interesting incident as well. Allow me to share this story with you all.

Looking for a color combination for painting:

I was planning for a painting and I had sketched it roughly for reference. However, the color palette to be used for this art work was yet undecided. Lots of color combinations were popping up in my mind but I was unsure which one to finalize.

One fine day, I was having my evening tea after sunset. While sipping my cup of tea, I happened to look at the sky view from my balcony. What I saw totally stunned me in a good way. The sky was filled with orange and purple hues. It was one of the most beautiful sky scenes I had ever seen.

Obviously, I went straight to the balcony to enjoy the view even more. Taking some snapshots of this memorable colorful sky was totally worth it. After gazing at the sky for as long as it existed, I felt overwhelmed thinking of the creativity existing in nature.

The decision of the color palette for the painting was made:

This color combination stuck with me for a long time and I felt in awe of the magic of these colors. My perplexed situation of finalizing a color palette for my painting was resolved beautifully.

I felt as if I witnessed the magnificent orange purple dusk at the right time for a reason. Finally, the search for color combination for painting was over. Purple and orange were the colors for my next painting!
