“The Butterfly Series” is a series of butterfly paintings in oil. This series will consist of ten oil paintings in various sizes and colours containing butterflies. These paintings will be a unique blend of abstraction and realism bringing happy feelings to any place.
I have been talking about “The Butterfly Series” for quite some time now. It’s a series of butterfly paintings in oil that I have been working on since the year 2020. Although one painting of the series entitled “The Butterfly Garden” was made earlier in the year 2019 even before the series was planned.
The decision for this series of butterfly paintings in oil was made by me for the same reasons I painted “The Butterfly Garden”. Read on to know the reason behind painting this series.
Why I decided to make “The Butterfly Series”:
Being always fascinated by butterflies, they were always a source of wonder to me. However, one particular incident when I got to know a fact about them left me awestruck. This fact was that the average lifespan of a butterfly is just fourteen days.
The feeling that these little beautiful creatures make the most of whatever time they have on this earth is just incredible. In fact, they bring so much beauty and wonder to everyone who views them. They roam from flower to flower and they just live life to the fullest. For me, they are a source of inspiration to live life in the best possible way totally immersed in the present moment.
Hence, making “The Butterfly Garden” wasn’t enough. I had to make a whole series of paintings to dedicate to these butterflies. This is how the idea of “The Butterfly Series” originated. Of course, “The Butterfly Garden” becomes the first painting of the series.

As of now, four paintings of “The Butterfly Series” are completed. I am still working on this series of butterfly paintings in oil. Let me just say it’s been a pleasure making this series and the joy still continues.
