“The Blue Vase” is a painting of “The Butterfly Series” that I am extremely fond of. It is one of those creations that make me feel very satisfied whenever I see it. Paintings showcasing flower vases have always attracted me. However, when I wanted to paint a vase for my painting, I wanted to give it a twist!

The painting got my signature style when I made each flower in a unique geometric shape. Although, the flowers have a geometric inclination, I made sure that they still contain the essence of real flowers like fragility and depth of colors. Additionally, the rectangular vase was made by combining triangular shapes to keep up with the geometric theme.

Since a long time, I had a desire to make a painting majorly in shades of blue. Hence, blue was chosen as the main color for this art work. This painting will make a perfect choice for anyone looking for a blue painting for their place.

Last but not the least, this painting features seven butterflies hovering around the flowers to add another dimension to the painting. The butterflies are painted realistically to give a nice contrast to an otherwise abstract painting.

When one observes this painting, blue, purple, white, and black are the colors used in it. However, I deliberately added a bright yellow butterfly to this artwork to give just the right amount of contrast. This yellow butterfly moves the viewer’s eyes to all the butterflies in the painting. Additionally, it elevates the painting by adding warmth to all the cool tones.
