How painting at the time of lockdown can help you?

Painting at the time of lockdown can help you in a lot of ways. Let’s look at some of these ways:

  1. When you have a limited view of the world in isolation, you can let your imaginary world take the front seat. Painting is one of the best ways to put your imagination on paper/canvas.
  2. We tend to stress a lot when we are consuming so much negative news. Personally, I get totally present minded and enjoy the process of painting even in these tough times. I get a feel that there is still excitement & beauty in life when I paint. Surely, painting can reduce your stress too and help you disconnect to connect with yourself.
  3. If you always wanted to paint and pursue your hobby for painting, now is the time. As the saying goes, make lemonade out of lemons. Perhaps, you can make your best art piece at this time.
  4. Painting gives you the much needed break from technical world. Let’s face it; we all are using our cell phones and other technology lots more these days. As extreme of anything is bad, painting at the time of lockdown is the much needed break to let your paint brushes do the talking in the offline world.
  5. Lastly, never underestimate the power of colours. I have felt it time and again while painting. Whatever be your mood, choose the colours to express it and feel light. In contrast, you can use colours opposite to your mood. For instance, if you are feeling low, try using bright colours like orange and yellow to paint something to lift your spirit.
