Let’s play with water colors:

This is yet another abstract water color painting that I tried. What I enjoyed the most about this painting was giving lots of tones in a single color. I took it as a challenge to include as many tones of each color as possible. As can be seen from the painting, I included almost five tones of each color i.e. red, green, blue and brown.

Although using too many colors is not always a good idea, I still used them in this painting. I made sure that even though there were many colors in the painting, the painting looked balanced. For instance, if I used red on the top, then I also used it at the bottom. Similar is the case with other colors and the locations they are painted on paper.

Let’s give a title to the painting:

I titled this abstract water color painting as “The Path of Life” because I tried showing the different phases through different forms. The center of the painting has different forms from top to bottom.  Each form is leading to the destination which is shown by the last form of a gateway.

What’s with the brown sticks and the yellow rings:

I also showed brown sticks and yellow rings on the left and right side of the painting. The stick signifies the difficulties that we face on our path of life. The yellow rings, on the other hand, signify the hope and opportunity that come along with each difficulty. I believe that each hurdle/ difficulty in our life comes with light, hope and opportunity along with it. The stick and ring combination originated from this water color painting. I was so fascinated by it that I used it in many other paintings.
