Though 27th May, 2012 was the last day of my art exhibition, it was the first day for many things. It was the first day for a firmer belief in me. It was the first day when I felt a different kind of joy. It was the first day of a stronger commitment to art. It was the first day of ever selling a painting.
Last day of first exhibition…first experience of selling a painting:
On this day, as usual, I went to the art gallery early in the morning. I had this fear that it’s the last day and I might just end up making no sales. Although a small moment on the second last day had boosted my confidence, I was still hoping for something else. I was still hoping of selling a painting. I was still hoping for a better magical moment then the day before. I kept on visualizing making at least one sell.
And then it finally happened. A friend came to visit the exhibition. She was very proud of me. She was very pleased to see my works. She liked the blue painting so much that she purchased it. This was one of the most memorable days for me. It was my younger brother’s birth day, the last day of my first exhibition and the day when of selling a painting!
This day I realized the power of staying positive. I realized how important it is for us to believe in ourselves even if others don’t. Staying optimistic can do miracles in anyone’s life. I have experienced it and so can you!
